Sacramento Housing Agency Seeking Public Feedback

The Sacramento Valley Fair Housing Collaborative is looking for feedback from the public on barriers to housing.

The group, including the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency and the cities of Citrus Heights, Davis, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Rocklin and Sacramento, will conduct focus groups and an online survey until the end of November to get community input.

Susan Veazy, director for development and federal programs at Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency, says the barriers could be economic, caused by discrimination or a lack of public transportation.

"We really want to hear from the public about their experiences throughout the Greater Sacramento Region why they've chosen to locate where are," Veazy says. "Is it a good fit? Is it not a good fit?"
